Find Suitable Prayers For Our Nation, Our World, And Our Leaders: During these days of division, anger, and uncertainty, most of us aren’t quite sure how to respond or how to pray for the nation. What we must not forget is that we are not powerless.
Our voices are heard in heaven! We can and need to ask God to intervene and to give us insight for ways we can respond with the love of Christ. Here are some simple prayers that we can pray together on behalf of our hurting country and our nation.
Almighty God our heavenly Father, guide the nations of the world into the way of justice and truth, and establish among them that peace which is the fruit of righteousness, that they may become the kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.
Almighty God, you have given us this good land for our heritage: We humbly pray that we may always prove ourselves a people mindful of your favor and glad to do your will. Bless our land with honorable industry, sound learning, and pure manners. Save us from violence, discord, and confusion; from pride and arrogance, and from every evil way. Defend our liberties, and fashion into one united people the multitudes brought hither out of many kindreds and tongues. Endue with the spirit of wisdom those to whom in your Name we entrust the authority of government, that there may be justice and peace at home, and that, through obedience to your law, we may show forth your praise among the nations of the earth. In the time of prosperity, fill our hearts with thankfulness, and in the day of trouble, suffer not our trust in you to fail; all which we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Lord God Almighty, you have made all the peoples of the earth for your glory, to serve you in freedom and in peace: Give to the people of our country a zeal for justice and the strength of forbearance, that we may use our liberty in accordance with your gracious will; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
Builder of All Things, my country seems to fall apart more and more each day. Please help to unify us and see that we need to love each other rather than cling to our differences. Amen.
O Lord our Governor, whose glory is in all the world: We commend this nation to your merciful care, that, being guided by your Providence, we may dwell secure in your peace. Fill them with the love of truth and righteousness, and make them ever mindful of their calling to serve this people in your fear; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, world without end. Amen.
O Lord our Governor, bless the leaders of our land, that we may be a people at peace among ourselves and a blessing to other nations of the earth. Lord, keep this nation under your care.

Almighty God, to whom we must account for all our powers and privileges: Guide the people of the United States (or of this community) in the election of officials and representatives; that, by faithful administration and wise laws, the rights of all may be protected and our nation be enabled to fulfill your purposes; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Almighty God, we commend to your gracious care and keeping all the men and women of our armed forces at home and abroad. Grant us the ability as nations to follow after the things which make for peace, and things which cause us to build up one another as nations. Lord may your peace rule in the hearts of men all over the world, let it mount guard over hearts and minds in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, for he is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God’s wrath on the wrongdoer. Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God’s wrath but also for the sake of conscience. For because of this you also pay taxes, for the authorities are ministers of God, attending to this very thing. Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed.— Romans 13:1-7

Lord, you are our Deliverer, and we pray for our nation and our leaders to turn toward righteousness and away from evil. May we not be labeling what is good as evil, or what is evil as good. You have said that if we seek your face and turn from our evil ways, you will hear from heaven and heal our land. O Lord, may we as individuals and as a nation set our focus on obeying your word and living pure lives. Amen.
O Lord, I bring our President and other leaders in different positions before your throne of grace. May they find mercy and grace before you as they look for solutions to the different problems that are affecting our nation. May the President find the right advisors that will give him wise counsel. Expose and remove wrong people around these leaders that are up to no good. May all their demonic-inspired counsel be exposed and destroyed, in Jesus’ name. Thank you, God, for leading us in the way that we should go as a nation. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
